Improved role-based access control

To ensure a smooth engineering experience, you need an equally smooth admin and setting experience. The fewer headaches caused by admin stuff, the more time you'll have for actual work. And the more work you get done, the more fun you'll have. At Paradime, we are all about having fun. That's why we decided to improve our role-based access control (RBAC) - making it more efficient for you and your team.

Our updated RBAC offers pre-built user permission sets to help you manage user access to various features. Up until now, only three roles were available: Admin, Developer, and Business Users. With this new update, customers with RBACs enabled will be able to access a new set of roles in each workspace:

  • Admin
  • Billing Admin 🆓
  • Security Admin 🆓
  • Workspaces Settings Admin 🆓
  • Workspace Admin
  • Developer
  • Analyst
  • Business 🆓

What are some of the benefits?

👉 Customers will be able to grant access to their finance/procurement team to manage billing and plans - without being charged for an extra seat.
👉 The new role Workspaces Settings Admin will allow a user to manage configurations in a workspace without being a paid user.
👉 A new Analyst role, which enables restricted development access. For example, they will not be able to create Bolt schedules in the UI.

You can now choose between eight new roles

This feature is built with larger enterprises or companies in mind, where security and access control is not just a requirement from their InfoSec team.
